Forty Hall trees

As I spend more time at Forty Hall I find I keep returning to same spots in the estate, the narrow path at the far end of the estate that leads down into the woods, the felled tree trunk at the bottom of lime tree avenue and the ancient oak trees. There is a pleasure in navigating round these familiar spots as I am watching the gradual change from Autumn to Winter and I need these fixed points to be my markers.

Back in my studio I have started weaving the pieces for the Forty Hall exhibition with the colours and shapes of the trees foremost in my mind.
